Once again I found myself following the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole and found myself at the annual Mardi Gras party! Every year as many of us already know, Jan holds a Fat Tuesday Party every year. Complete with a sports pitcher of Hurricanes, King Cake, Fried/Sausage Alligator, and my personal favorite Voodoo Eggs. This year has been the best on record for me. Usually I stay in the kitchen and cook rice or whatever. This year I did my little bit of cooking and got to hand out with friends! It was a great night overall!!!!

The start of the night. (I've noticed that a lot of my blogs have a pic of Dani and Me lol.) But unfortunately Dani left and didn't stay long, so we couldn't hang out as much as everyone else. :(

This year I finally had people to hang out with. (Karina, Mary Jane, Dani, and Me!) Just enough time to hang out with Dani before she left. I like this pic. I totally stole Dom's seat, we played musical chairs pretty much all night.

Me with Karina.

Dom and Nickies mom. She is one of my favorite Jazz vocalists in Modesto! We did our best to beg her to stay but she had to leave...

Some how we found our way outside and I found that my sister and brother were having their own form of fun.

K.C. begged me to hurry up and take the picture so it would get away from her... Perhaps the lady doth protest too much???
Joey was trying to play the defensive to throw off the opposing team.

On my way back in I found Adria ( yet another Brother).
As the night went on, we all noticed a repeat visitor to the hurricane pitcher and well... Let's just say Dom got a little friendly. (I kind of liked him that way, it was amusing.) He managed to dance with every girl he saw.

Dom danced with Casper

with Maribel...

and finally after a few hours of bugging, he even coaxed Bari out on the floor...
The band stayed till 2 in the morning playing anything and everything we requested. And we danced around like morons, but very fun. Everything from Hava Nagila to Mariachi music. It was a hoot!

... and lastly even with Jan. (We also danced together but I didn't get any pictures just a video clip and that is not going on here lol... not very cordinated.)

By the end of the night everyone was "happy" in their own ways. We talked about everything from drinks to band history. The best part was winding down with roasting marshmellows on a fire pit Joey built earlier that night, and trying to find our way to play Sesame Streets Theme song on violin and guitar lol. Finally we all left late that morning around 2:30 am. It was a very good night! The next day I had to crawl out of the rabbit hole and stumble back into reality.
